Hello and welcome to Sozo Chiropractic!
My name is Dr. Jake Hyde, and I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and long-time health enthusiast. Since entering into the healthcare arena, I have grown increasingly passionate about sharing the truths of health and wellness with those around me. My desire for this blog is to share with you my personal experiences, along with interesting research I continue to discover, while providing an engaging platform for wellness ideas. This blog has been a goal of mine for quite some time now, but my fear of writing has limited me, acting as the main obstacle. To be honest, I’d speak to a full auditorium than post this and share it with my Facebook friends. So why am I doing this? Well, I’ve created this blog primarily for me. Sure, that may sound somewhat selfish, but I need to force myself to grow in this capacity and truly stretch myself. Balance is such a necessity in all aspects of life, and that’s just what I aim to achieve for myself with this means of communicating. Through writing this blog, I hope to find a sense of balance within by overcoming my unfounded fears, and refusing to allow fear to dictate how I live.
My hope for this blog is that it will become a resource for parents, teachers, coaches, friends, and loved ones to become stewards of their own health and the health and well-being of others.
Aside from the mostly selfish reasons for beginning this blog, I truly feel called to spread the truth to those in serious need of answers. As a society we are obese, diseased and misinformed. We are in the middle of a full-on health crisis, yet the conversations in the public forum are often about the economics of health care. Such as, “How do we make pharmaceuticals, Medicare, and Medicaid more affordable?” and “How do we decrease the burden of health care on our nation’s budget?” I haven’t heard one politician ask, “Why are we so sick? Why do we rank so high in emergency care and so low in chronic care? What are we missing?” I speculate that whatever line of thinking got us to where we are today isn’t going to get us to where we need to be. I do not believe that it is our policymakers who will save us from ourselves. I believe the health revolution will begin at the home front, at the dinner table, and within communities.
My hope for this blog is that it will become a resource for parents, teachers, coaches, friends, and loved ones to become stewards of their own health and the health and well-being of others. My personal mission is to foster a new health culture in my own community. That’s why this blog is titled “Best Living – West Palm Beach.” But I hope this blog empowers all who stumble upon it, to take control of their own health, and begin a journey towards living their best.
This blog will undoubtedly cover some controversial topics. I expect I’ll receive heavy criticism along the way, which I welcome. After all, it has been said that, “Nothing is as painful as a new idea.” It might also have been said that nothing is as powerful as a new idea that comes at the right time. I believe the time is now. Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions, criticisms, or ideas for posts you would like to see and thanks again for reading.
